Wi-Fi Access for Personal Devices


Students and employees of Lancaster Mennonite School are welcome to connect personal devices to the Wi-Fi network LMS School


Android / Chrome OS

  1. Enable Wi-Fi on your device

  2. Select the network LMS School

  3. Settings:

    • EAP method: PEAP

    • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2

    • CA certificate: Use system certificates

    • Online Certificate Status: Do not validate

    • Domain: lancastermennonite.org

    • Identity: (Your LMS username without @lancastermennonite.org)

    • Anonymous identity: leave blank

    • Wireless Password: (Your LMS password)

  4. If prompted, permanently accept the server's certificate

  5. When you change your password, you will need to update it in the settings for the LMS School wireless network on your device


iOS

  1. From the home screen tap Settings

  2. Tap Wi-Fi

  3. Select LMS School

  4. When prompted for a username and password, enter your LMS username (without @lancastermennonite.org) and password

  5. Tap Join in the upper right-hand corner

  6. If prompted, tap Trust to permanently accept the server's certificate

  7. When you change your password, you will need to update it in the settings for the LMS School wireless network on your device


Windows 10

  1. Right-click on the wireless network icon in the taskbar. Select Open Network & Internet settings

  2. At the bottom of the window, click Network and Sharing Center

  3. Select Set up a new connection or network

  4. Select Manually connect to a wireless network

  5. Enter the following information:

    • Network Name: LMS School

    • Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise

  6. Click Next

  7. Click Change connection settings

  8. Click the Security tab

  9. Click Settings and uncheck the box marked Verify the server's identity or Validate server certificate

  10. Click Configure and uncheck the box. Click OK, then click OK again

  11. Click Advanced Settings and check Specify authentication mode

  12. In the drop-down list, select User authentication then click Save credentials and enter your LMS username (without @lancastermennonite.org) and password, then click OK

  13. Click OK one more time. You are now set up to automatically connect to LMS School.

  14. If you computer doesn't connect automatically after a moment, click the wireless network icon, then LMS School


macOS

  1. Select the Wi-Fi menu located near the right end of the menu bar

  2. Choose LMS School from the list of networks

  3. Enter your LMS username (without @lancastermennonite.org) and password

  4. Leave 802.1X set to Automatic

  5. Check Remember this network and click OK

  6. If prompted, accept the server's certificate

  7. When you change your password, you will need to update it in the settings for the LMS School wireless network on your computer
